Privacy Policy

Plants Won't Freeze has no accounts and no server of its own. Your garden lives on your phone. This page lists everything that leaves it, and why.

What stays on your phone

Your garden's location, the plant groups you pick, your alert time, the kind of spot you garden in, your frost history and every other setting are stored only on your iPhone. Notifications are scheduled on the phone as well. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

What is shared, and with whom

• Apple Weather (WeatherKit). To get the forecast, the app sends your garden's coordinates to Apple. Apple uses them to answer the request and does not tie them to your Apple ID. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Apple Maps. If you search for your town instead of using your location, the text you type is sent to Apple to find the place.
• Your location. If you tap "Use my location", the app asks iOS for your location once, while you're using it, to set your garden's spot. It does not track you in the background.
• Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat). Subscriptions are handled by the App Store. The app uses RevenueCat to show prices and check your subscription. RevenueCat receives purchase details and a random identifier created by the app, not your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics). To learn which parts of the app help and where people get stuck, the app sends anonymous usage events to Firebase: screens opened, onboarding steps, notification settings, and broad settings such as °F or °C, how many plant groups you picked and your plan. It does not send your location or your garden's name. The app uses the version of Firebase without advertising features: no advertising identifier, no tracking across apps, and no data sold. What we never do

• No account, email or name is collected.
• No advertising, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
• No selling or renting of any data.

Children

The app is a general-audience gardening tool and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Turn location access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services, and set your garden by searching for your town instead.
• Turn notifications off in Settings › Notifications.
• Delete the app to remove everything it stored on your phone.
• Because we hold no data that identifies you, there's nothing on our side to request or delete. If you have a question, write to us.

This website

plantswontfreeze.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It's served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs for security. Fonts load from Google Fonts.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date at the top.
